Our Story
The long way home.
We didn't cross an ocean for comfort. We crossed it for hope, leaving behind our parents' arms, our friends' laughter, and the taste of home. Like most who arrive with empty hands, we learned to survive first and dream later.
Some nights, missing Nepal was a physical ache. We tried buying Nepali beer here, but it was costly, and home still felt an ocean away. So we asked: what if home isn't something you import, but something you build?
We walked into brewery after brewery telling our story, until Shawn, at Cowtown Brewing Co, finally listened. He saw three immigrants who had left everything and refused to quit. So we brewed, and failed, and brewed again, chasing a taste of home.
And then we found it. Yakā: named for strength, brewed with sacrifice, made with love.
